Before applying for a Turkey e-Visa, it is essential to determine if your country (as stated on your passport) is visa-exempt, requires an e-Visa, or requires a sticker/stamp visa. As of March 2, 2020, citizens of the following countries listed below do not require a visa to visit Turkey for tourism or business purposes.
Countries Exempt from Turkey e-Visa Requirements
A total of 83 countries/territories have visa exemptions for tourism or business purposes when traveling to Turkey. The permitted duration of visa-free stay varies for each country.
For travelers from the following countries, no visa is required, and they can stay in Turkey for 3 to 6 months, either continuously or in multiple visits.
Russian Federation citizens also enjoy visa-free status, allowing them to enter and stay in Turkey for 90 days, up to a maximum of 6 months. However, each visit cannot exceed 60 days.
On the other hand, nationals of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Brunei, Macao, Costa Rica, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, and Thailand can enter and stay in Turkey for up to 30 days per visit and a total of 90 days within a six-month period.
In addition, citizens of specific countries can enter Turkey without a visa if they meet certain conditions:
- Cyprus nationals residing in Northern Cyprus, arriving directly from Famagusta, Kyrenia, Karavostassi seaports, or Ercan International Airport, can stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days within 180 days.
- Citizens of Palestine holding a VIP passport are also exempt from the visa requirement for entry into Turkey.
Eligibility Criteria for Turkey e-Visa
To be eligible for a Turkey e-Visa, you must meet the following requirements:
You must hold a valid passport from one of the eligible countries listed above. If you possess dual citizenship, your application must be made with the passport that qualifies you as a national.
Your passport must have a validity of at least 6 months from the intended date of entry into Turkey. Please note that some travelers from specific countries can visit Turkey with their national identity card.
Purpose of Travel:

Important Note: Nationals of certain countries are required to provide a supporting document, such as a valid visa or residence permit from Schengen countries, United States, United Kingdom, or Ireland. Electronic visas or e-residence permits from these countries are not accepted. Egyptian citizens who are under 20 or over 45 years old are exempt from this requirement.
